We crave a good schedule.
We thrive…
Our kids thrive…
When things are predictable and in a good flow.
I see this time of year so important for so many people.
Summer tends to be more free form, vacations and a nice break from the norm.
Now that this time of year is upon us…
What are you doing to focus on you?
-Sleep Schedule
-Breathing Exercises
-Gratitude Journal
-Nutrition
-Movement
These are all the areas we recommend you focus on and find a routine that works for you.
Sleep is one of the most important areas we suggest you focus on.
We say we are a night owl, but that is a conditioned behavior.
Sleep is when our body restores itself and most need 7-9 hours.
Saying you can survive on less is exactly what has been stated surviving, not thriving.
Sleep takes intentional effort.
We need to find a pattern that can work for you.
Reduce blue light exposure.
Stop eating 1-3 hours before bed.
Take a shower/bath.
Hot/Cold therapy.
Journal or meditate.
Calming Teas.
The most important part of all of this is finding what is going to work for you.
Self care is critical with all that is going on in our world.
Find what can work for you, what feels good and you can do on a daily basis.
If you have kids see what you can do to help them establish new routines.
I know our kids thrive when things are predictable.
They go to bed at the same time, wake at the same time, clothes are set out, lunches/snacks packed and we head to school at the same time.
Take some space this week to think about your new routine and how it supports you and your goals.
Let me know if you need help,
