When we think about coaches or famous names in coaching: John Wooden, Vince Lombardi, Red Auerbach, Paul Brown and Pat Summitt may come into thought. These coaches have the ability to make people better on and off the field of play.
Coaches are known for pushing, motivating, inspiring, and helping the players get the most out of their individual talents. Many times a coach also has to get the player to become a team and work together to obtain one goal, thus sacrificing individuality.
Here at Transformation Fitness and Wellness we believe that our coaching is the number one reason for the success of our program. You can have the knowledge, desire, and ability to be successful in your fitness journey, but when you add a coach they can bring it all together. A coach not only motivates you but he/she holds you accountable. Each workout is designed towards achieving your goal and the goal of the goal!
We pride ourselves on having a complete program that helps each individual get to and maintain a great level of health. We tell our Fitness Professionals, “You can have the best program out there, but if you can’t coach it up, it’s nothing.” It takes energy to get people excited and you have to have the zest and thrill to inspire and motivate people at 6am and 6pm!
When it comes down to it we all have the best intentions when we go to the gym. But then we can get side tracked, caught up at work, family, you name it and we fall off track.
Having a coach hold you accountable and move you in the right direction is an essential part of a complete program.
I know I keep talking about a complete program and I want to further explain what that is:
A complete program consists of proper Nutrition. Are you filling out a food journal? We use www.myfitnesspal.com or we can supply you with a book to write in and we will check it weekly. We will leave comments on your journal to help you be successful.
The second part of a complete program is Resistance Training. Make sure to get in 2-3 resistance training sessions per week so that you see proper muscle adaptation. Your resistance training will be tailored toward your personal goal(s). It is essential to stay consistent in your resistance training.
Cardiovascular Training is the third component for a successful and complete program. We customize your cardiovascular workouts based on your individual goals and needs.
The forth step in a complete program is Flexibility. As annoying as it is, we recommend foam rolling before and after all exercise. This will help with recovery as well as help prevent injury.
Last but certainly not least, as we stated above, a complete program has to have a Coach. Someone who gets it and can hold you accountable, 90% of the reason people hire a personal trainer is because they need to be held accountable.
