A few days ago, I had a terrible workout.
Mentally…
I felt tired, couldn’t pull the weight I was used to and out of breath.
As I sat on the couch reading before my workout, I was thinking it would be nice to just stay here, drink some more coffee and not do the workout…
But I knew I would not be happy with myself, I did not have time to get it in later and it genuinely sets the tone for my day.
I have also learned to talk to myself versus listening to myself.
If I listened I would have stayed on the couch, but I told myself to get up and go do what you know you need to do.
Good or bad it was still done.
Sometimes we get caught up in it must be perfect, I know I am certainly guilty of this.
It’s consistency…
It’s showing up when you really don’t want to.
Also, it takes time before you start to see your consistency paying off. So, it can be easy to say, “oh it’s just one workout.”
One workout, turns to two, turns to…
I also knew if I did not show up not only would my coach be asking me where I was, but the other people in the workout would be asking where I was too!
Good or bad, that’s the beauty of accountability!
We all have our days, that’s normal, but we have found you need accountability to keep you working towards your goals.
Does your gym call you if you miss a workout?
We do!
It is not that you are in trouble… it is holding the mirror up and saying hey you had these goals, this is what it is going to take to help you achieve them.
Moral of the story is not all workouts are perfect, beautiful, or feel wonderful.
Life, obligations, and working through stuff happens to the best of us.
Every workout won’t feel glorious, but each workout gets you closer to your goal.
So, if you need someone calling you at 5:45am to make sure you get to your workout reach out!
We have an accountability system to help you navigate the days when you just don’t wanna.
Also, we can have real conversations about what is going on.
Life can and will happen.
None of us are immune to it.
It is how we respond or don’t respond and remembering everything is an opportunity to learn and grow.
If you keep hitting snooze and missing your workouts, maybe morning is not you best time to work out.
We can help you navigate the hurdles.
