I wanted to touch on this important topic today of less is more.
You can relate this to all things.
When you think about anything in life if we go more More, MORE what happens?
Something typically breaks, self-destructs, or burns out.
When we bring this back to working out, More is never better.
You will increase inflammation.
Put yourself at risk for illness, lowing your immune system.
Be at risk for injury or create overuse injuries.
Delay or stop weight loss altogether.
We can fall in love with the endorphins or the feelings we get when working out.
But just like drugs/alcohol/carbs/whatever..
Less is more.
Let me explain.
For most of us, we have a decent amount of stress, pressure in life.
Between our work or business, family, friends we have responsibilities and people looking up to us.
It is the American way to push and drive your way to success in life.
I am here to screech the tires (dramatic noise) and say enough.
This pandemic made people stop, pause life, get clear on what’s truly important.
But I can see us going back to old habits.
Or we are scared we will go back to old habits.
I am here to call it out.
Design your life how you want it.
Do things with ease.
It does not have to be hard.
This is coming from the serial entrepreneur that just quit a super successful sales job because my health was worth way more.
Find the balance for you.
Resistance train a couple of days per week. (2-3)
Move the other days. (Easy Cardio, Yoga, Walk)
Eat reasonably well. (Real Food)
Feel good DAILY. (Breath, Meditate, Just Be)
If you feel like any of this is out of alignment we can help.
Workouts should never be go go go, harder, harder, harder.
We don’t have to punish ourselves because we indulged or ate “bad”.
Workouts should have rhyme and reason, not just burn as many calories as possible.
We need to focus on lean tissue since we are losing it every year we age.
Our days are not challenging enough.
We need to focus on fueling our bodies well.
When you eat well you feel well.
I know this can get overwhelming and there are a ton of “experts” out there.
We were not meant to live in constant stress. (Life and physical)
Do life with ease and if you need help, let me know.
