I was working out in our Team Training this a.m. and it was awesome. Everyone was getting after it and checking that workout off the list for the day.
In the end, I shared how I counted my reps.
We had a finisher where we had to do different exercises and 16 reps of each exercise.
Wall Balls, was one of them.
To put it lightly I am not a fan of Wall Balls, this is where you throw a weighted ball as high as you can straight up against the wall, then catch it and go down into a deep squat, then come back up in an explosively and throw the, did I mention, weighted ball straight up against the wall.
Since we were doing 16 reps, I decided I would count 6 reps, then 5 reps, then 5 reps.
Little mind game, right?
Then one of our clients said he always reminds himself you can do anything for 30 sec, a minute, insert the length of time.
And that’s so TRUE.
You can do anything and the difference I see is perspective, mindset, your thoughts.
I’d love to hear what you personally do?
I have had clients in the past tell me to count down vs up.
The part that I found powerful was, “I can do anything for 30 sec.”
What could you do for 30 sec?
I remembered the No Fear T-shirts we used to wear back in the 90s, “Pain is Temporary, Pride is for Ever!” 😉
What I believe to be true is you hold the cards, you’re the one in control, it’s what you choose to believe about anything.
I am speaking about exercise, but really this is life.
It all comes back to perspective.
This pandemic could be the worst thing ever or it could have been the best opportunity.
Shift your outlook, win your life.
I know this is easier said than done. If you need help, we are here for you. Just shoot me a message back.
