Happy Friday!
Today I will share how to stay relentlessly focused on your goal.
Now you know us as the health, and weight loss experts, but you can use this for any goal.
We love goals all day every day, but what happens when you get thrown off course?
Whenever we coach someone in a weight loss journey it is hardly ever a straight line down.
We have holidays, vacations, etc.
And life…right?
How do you stay on track?
I have a three-part process I want to share with you.
Step 1: Know what you want
Too many times we see someone dip their toe in the water when it comes to weight loss. You kinda sorta do the things and one little blip and hands go up in the air.
Set the goal. Be specific and can you measure it.
For example, we use the number on the scale or body fat to be a tangible number we track.
Step 2: You have to NEED your goal.
Ok, so what do I mean here? Do you need to hit this goal? Is it tied to your higher purpose?
This is deeper than I want my clothes to fit or have more energy.
When you hit your goal who do you become?
Does that light you up enough to not order takeout and have drinks on Friday night?
😉
This part is critical and it is ok to not know, but challenge yourself, if you were to know why you need your goal what would that be?
Step 3: Who Are you Becoming?
As we are specifically talking about weight loss, what I love witnessing is the change in the person.
When someone loses weight, they gain so much confidence and go for more in life.
It is awesome.
And I want to challenge you. When you think about you hitting your goal can you see him/her?
How do you dress?
Where are you?
Who are you with?
What are you doing?
Create a Future Memory.
Think about this, if I were to ask you about a favorite memory, you could give me the whole sensory experience right?
That’s what I want you to consider when thinking about your goal, why you need it, and who you are becoming.
Would love to hear your future memory, should you accept this challenge!
This is how we help clients stay relentlessly focused on the goal!
Go get ’em’!
Have an awesome day,
Arin
