Its fair to say we all have it and none of us are immune to it.
Some of us handle it better than others but is that really true?
We see it first hand in our fitness business on how stress impacts our clients.
What has been overwhelming to watch is how stress effects our bodies.
After these last three years I have experienced stress beyond what I ever thought I would experience. Starting and running our business prepared me somewhat, but it’s safe to say these last three years have been some of my biggest opportunities to learn and grow.
No doubt I felt the why me, this is so hard and to be completely transparent I wanted to give up. Thankfully I have a tenacious fight mechanism in me and surrounded myself with some pretty awesome people.
I have learned that ok is good enough. This is coming from a perfectionist.
I also have learned that I have to balance things. I can’t be full throttle on any one thing because then something else suffers.
This has been a hard thing to learn.
Also expecting my body to just bounce back. Who am I kidding, I am advanced maternal age…at least that’s what they told me at each appointment during my pregnancy! LOL!
Stress affects us all a bit differently.
But we have seen some serious health concerns come up and stress has been a huge factor.
Again, it is impossible not to have stress but learning how to manage it is the opportunity.
Working out hands down will help release good endorphins helping to reduce the symptoms of stress.
Eating reasonably well helps fuel our body keeping it in good working order. I found after having two kids, meal prepping was something I was not going to take the time to do and we have been ordering Artie’s To Go. It has been a huge help for us, plus they deliver early Monday mornings to our gym.
By eating well, drinking lots of water and reducing alcohol intake we help keep inflammation lower in the body which helps when fighting stress.
Hands down we all have stress, or it will creep in at different times of our life. Learning how to reduce it can save you in several areas, as well as fighting disease.
Its as simple as working out a few days per week. Try it out and see what you think.
We are offering 7-Day Workout passes to our gym during the month of September. Let me know if you or someone you know is interested and hopefully we can help reduce some stress.
It can be scary or intimidating to walk through our doors, we understand that. But trust me we can help all fitness levels.
Schedule a time to sit down with me and I’ll show you the ropes and together we can see if this will be a good fit.
Have an awesome day today and let me know if can help you manage some stress.
Take care,
Arin
