Happy Tuesday!
Hope you are doing well.
Today’s topic is going to be all around what happens when you get off track when it comes to your health goal.
First and foremost it is normal.
And I want to bring a concept to light today.
Things happen and we get off track with any goal.
The big difference is did you learn or did you spiral down?
I encourage clients to look at it like this: What can you learn?
Rarely do I ever see a client perfectly lose weight in a straight line down.
There are ups and downs, but the idea is there are more down.
–
What do you do if you get off track?
The most important part is not to beat yourself up.
Acknowledge what occurred and what can I learn from it, so that you do not repeat the pattern.
One really important learning I see happen with clients is they get off track with their food, they didn’t have a plan and they were hungry.
Super fair and normal.
In this example, you can ask yourself what can I learn and you can reasonably see that you needed to take the time to prepare food or have a snack or increase protein.
So many variables go into this and that’s why it can beneficial to talk through this with a coach.
We can spot things that maybe are not obvious to you.
What I want to talk through, is never beat yourself up if you get off track.
It doesn’t serve anyone, nor does it help.
It’s amazing the things we will say to ourselves when we are frustrated.
Now on the other hand we don’t want to just brush it off either, especially if you have goals you want to achieve.
My goal with this email today is to help you see that setbacks happen to all of us.
It’s more about what you do immediately after the setback.
Do you get back up and try again or do you hang out in self-pity?
My recommendation is to acknowledge it, then ask yourself: What can I learn?
Then the most important part is, Move forward and move forward fast.
Learnings can happen in an instant and you get right back on track!
You got this and so much more!
