As you work toward your goal, ask yourself who are you becoming?
Or who do I have to be to hit my desired goal?
A weight loss journey is not about hitting the actual goal but becoming the person you need to become to hit the desired goal.
We make changes.
We level up.
We become clearer on what you truly want.
We don’t tolerate certain things anymore.
And it is all a good thing.
Would love to hear how this resonates with you?
— Short Story —
When I decided to get myself back where I like to be from a health perspective I had to be ok with getting uncomfortable.
Preparing, planning different foods, less take-out, etc.
I had to change.
I had to resist the urges.
I had to take in all the feedback and learn through the lessons and/or emotions.
I had to constantly ask, “What would fit Arin do?” or “What would healthy Arin do?”
Nothing was ever a failure, simply feedback.
Then it took day after day, week after week, moving the ball down the field literally one yard at a time. (football season is coming ;).)
I am not the same person that I was just a few months ago, let alone a year ago.
It is a good thing.
Who do you need to become, that when you become him/her your goals simply happen?
Let me know if you need help,
Arin
