Obstacles in life shape who you are today.
Each experience gives us muscle memory on how to cope.
Over these last few years I personally feel each event in my life has helped build me to handle what life throws at me today.
As Leo’s birthday approaches, I know I should be full of excitement and joy, I genuinely am, but there’s a few layers.
I still shutter at the thought of a 55 hour labor, not knowing if he was alive and when I went to the NICU, I had to ask which one was mine. It still gets me.
But we both survived and out of the pain, is growth.
Just like how this pandemic has effected everyone, we will continue to feel what we are feeling for months and even years to come.
Optimism and belief are the ways I have been able to navigate the complexities that go into hard, traumatic events that happen in all of our lives.
Getting up each day with hope, that better days are ahead.
I know we are all resilient.
I see it each workout in our gym and on our virtual workouts.
We have all just navigated and are continuing to navigate some tough stuff.
I encourage to continue to have faith and hope that we will thrive despite the tough days ahead.
Leave your mark on this world, no time better than today.
And sweat a little, helps put some good endorphins in your body which is one of the best ways to feel a boost in mood and energy!

Today I want to share some thoughts around change.
We are designed to change, but what we find is we hold on to old beliefs.
Old things we believe about ourselves or maybe someone said to you years ago. This then becomes subconsciously the story we play in our head on a daily basis.
But I am here to tell you, you can reverse this.
It takes work.
I, along with several people, used to say I could never speak in front of a ton of people. That would be too scary and all the what ifs…today I can share that I have spoken on multiple stages across a few countries.
AND I love it!
So, what happened?
I had a limiting belief that I could not speak in front of people. I told myself this over and over, till one day, I got stretched. I voluntarily hired a coach and they encouraged and pushed me to help spread the word on how we help people.
I believed in my goal and rewrote the story in my head. Now speaking on large stages fun and exciting. Nothing fires me up more than motivating people to take control of their health and wellness.
What limiting beliefs do you have?
What do you say over and over in your head?
I have a challenge for you…let’s rewrite that.
Maybe its weight loss or a certain way you want to feel, move. Do you tell yourself over and over these statements?
You are able bodied, you deserve to be a certain size, I am happy and full of life.
These are just a few examples.
Think about want you want 1 year from now.
What are the limiting beliefs? Now let’s reverse that language?
Write down what you want, and I challenge you to read it every day. (seriously everyday)
“I am healthy, strong and confident.”
“I fuel my body with only the best foods, so that I can perform at a high level.”
Done enough times you will rewrite your subconscious. We were designed to change. Anything you believe from childhood can be rewritten with conscious effort every day.
